With the advent of December, most of the Indian youth flocks towards the top holiday Destination in India, Goa in December. The reasons may be many : its December, its winter, its Goa, Sunburn festival and Chirstmas – New Year celebrations. This time round, I decided to write a detailed post on the things to do in Goa. One of the least limelight cast thing to do around Goa is to have a day off from the beach and go with your friends to Dudhsagar waterfalls. This amazing place with take you by its majestic charm. It is also one of the favourite picnic spot for the youth and can offer you a sense of adventure.

There is a Dudhsagar tour bus from Calangute beach which runs on Wednesday and sunday. The rate is cheap Rs 750 only and one can go in a group and have a very nice adventurous day.

3) Backwater trail in Mandovi river

Experience an amazing trip to the Mandovi river and Chorao Islands with this great boat trip. If you would like to have a nice time with family and friends, this relaxing experience can be really worth the time.

you will get to experience great tradiational Goan cuisines and get a feel of the Old Goa.

4) Visit the Goa Forts

Aguda Fort
The Aguda Fort in Goa is about 14 miles away from Panaji and is at the headland of Mandovi river.
It was built during the Portuguese era in 1609-1612. The fort is famous for its planning and architecture. The name Aguda means “water” in Portuguese language.  Currently the Central Jail of Goa is situated in the Fort.

Cabo De Rama Fort
The Cabo De Rama fort is located about 20 miles in the south of Margao town. The ancient for which currently stands in ruins, was constructed way before the portuguese arrival in the coastal state. The fort offers a view of scenic beauty and there are also boating opportunities available around the fort which make up for a nice evening.

Chapora Fort
Located near Vagator beach, the Chapora Fort is also known lately as the Dil Chahta Hai fort because of the shooting of the famous movie by that name took place a decade back. The view from this fort is now a photo perfect and it is one of the top destinations in Goa now. This is the famous Goa Dil Chahta Hai fort

5) Churches
A trip to goa is incomplete without the Churches of Old goa. Some of the famous churches in goa include the Basilica of Bom Jesus, Se Cathedral, Church of St. Francis of Assissi and the St. Cjetan church.
